水泵的作用是对冷却液加压,使冷却液在冷却系统中加速循环流动,增强冷却效果。B、C系列机冷却系统所采用的水泵总成结构,水泵由传动带驱动,为半开单级蜗壳离心式,安装在机缸体的前端面上。水泵蜗壳坐落在缸体前端,与缸体铸成体。其进水口与旁通管路作为气缸体的一部分均在气缸体内部。它由水泵壳体、水泵带轮、针轴承、水泵水封、水泵叶轮、矩形密封圈组成。水泵叶轮装配在轴上,与轴的连接是压入配合,必须经3.46kgf·m的转矩试验而不松动,以防止冷却液的泄漏。水泵叶轮和水泵壳体之间靠水泵水封起密封作用。水泵水封是由紧压在水泵壳体座圈上的烧结石墨静环和紧压在联轴滚针轴承轴上的陶瓷动环组成,静环和动环的摩擦面都经过仔细的研磨,具有良好的密封性能。水封的外径涂用密封胶,保证水泵静环与壳体相对静止不运动,并提高密封效果,烧结石墨静环具有较好的技术性能,使用寿命较高。矩形密封圈实现水泵壳体与缸体间的密封。水泵壳体下部有一个7mm的泄水孔,由水封处渗漏的水可以从泄水孔流出,不能将此孔堵住来防止漏水,以免水积聚在水泵腔内浸泡轴承,破坏轴承润滑。如果水泵运转时或机停机时从孔中漏水不止,必须将水泵总成拆下仔细检查,确定是水泵故障必须更换水泵总成,水泵总成不能分解检修。机运转时,曲轴带轮通过传动带传动,带动水泵叶轮和冷却液旋转。在自身的离心力作用下,冷却液沿叶片向叶轮的边缘甩出,并被叶轮排出的冷却液沿着蜗壳上与叶轮成切线方向的缝隙通道,进入压出室。其大部分速度能转换成压力能,然后被压送进机气缸体和缸盖的水套中去。此时,叶轮进口处因液体的排出而形成低压或真空,对水泵进水口产生一定的吸力,并使水箱中的冷却液经进水管被强制吸进水泵的叶轮进口。旋转着的叶轮连续不断地吸入和排出冷却液,形成冷却系统内的强制循环。某些机使用的离心水泵,泵体不铸在机体上,如K19系列机水泵装于机的左侧。K19机水泵总成。水弗列加滤清器装在水泵上。水泵由花键轴带动的齿轮驱动,水泵有2个防摩擦的球轴承,由来自机的压力润滑油进行润滑。水泵轴两端装有水封和油封。油封和水封之间的空腔通向通气口,这样可以防止在发生泄漏时润滑油或冷却液造成的污染。从通气口渗出的润滑油或冷却液不会影响机运行。在推荐的保养间隔期应检查通气口是否堵塞。
