制造厂对中小型德州干式变压器，一般只在感应耐压试验后进行一次空载试验，对35kV及以上，6300kV A以上的，在感应耐压试验前后都需做空载试验。有时在绕组套装后和铁心叠好后(大型德州干式变压器)，也要做半成品的空载试验。供电部门修试单位对3150kVA以下的德州干式变压器，一般不做空载试验。
