机油冷却器的作用是用来冷却润滑油,使机油温度保持在最有利的温度范围内(80~105℃),以保证润滑油具有正常的润滑作用。润滑油在机高温区工作运行时,吸收了大量的热量,同时润滑油又作为冷却介质用来冷却活塞,因此使润滑油温度升高,润滑油粘度下降,还容易氧化变质,因此必须及时降低润滑油的温度,以保证机的正常工作运行。B、C系列机的机油冷却器盖和机油弗列加滤清器座是连在一起的一个铸件。润滑油压力调节阀和弗列加滤清器旁通阀都安装在铸件里面,机油冷却器为板翘式,各芯片之间、芯片与底板之间的垫片焊在一起。机油冷却器为内藏式,安装在缸体水套内,散热片浸泡在气缸体水腔中,高温润滑油从进油孔流入机油冷却器,各散热片将热量传递给冷却液,从而降低润滑油温度,以防止由于润滑油温度过高、润滑不良造成机各部件的损坏。实际工作运行中,机的润滑油压力随着工作运行环境、条件等情况不断发生变化,机油压力调节阀在机冷起动时,可以减小润滑系统的润滑油压力,而当润滑油温度升高后,可以调节系统的润滑油压力。润滑油压力调节阀(调压阀、回油阀)由弹簧、柱塞(钢珠)及阀座等组成。当机油压力小于压力调节阀的开启压力时,调压阀处于关闭状态。而当润滑油压力大于压力调压阀的开启压力时,调压阀打开,部分润滑油直接回到油底壳,压力越大,阀门开度越大,从而保持润滑油压力在正常范围内。C系列机在机油冷却器盖的顶部装有一个机油节温器,当润滑油温度在100~115℃时,该节温器调节通过机油冷却器的润滑油流量;如果润滑油温度低,节温器打开,允许一部分润滑油直接流向弗列加滤清器。当润滑油温度升高至115℃时,节温器让润滑油全部通过机油冷却器。该节温器也装有一个压力调节装置,当机油冷却器发生堵塞时,该装置起到旁通阀的作用,可以使润滑油绕过冷却器。C系列机的机油冷却器调压阀和节温器的安装位置。K系列机机油冷却器也采用板翅式结构,内置于缸体侧面水腔中,结构紧凑,不易破损。但N系列机机油冷却器采用管束式,置于机排气管侧,由冷却器芯、壳体、前盖、后盖、O形密封圈等构成。
